In our fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, the Center for Women in Transition:
- Mentored 183 women with a total of 254 children.
- Averaged 82 mentees in our program at a given point in time
- Placed 80 mentess (44%) in transitional housing
36 were placed at Courtois (the facility run by the Center for Women in Transition)
44 were placed at a transitional house owned by other organization
5 were placed in family housing with children
- Did not have a single mentee (who worked with a mentor for atleast one month) charged with a new case
- Only saw 1% of mentees (who worked with a mentor for at least one month) return to jail/prison after being revoked for a technical violation
